A turkey with weight of 10 to 18 pounds needs to be roasted for 3 to 3.5 hours if it is unstuffed, but if it is stuffed 3.75 to 4.5 hours. Meanwhile, for 18 to 22 pounds turkey, you need to roast it for 3.5 to 4 hours if it is unstuffed, and 4.5 to 5 hours if it is stuffed. You need to cook your turkey until its skin turns into light golden, cover loosely with a foil tent. At the last 45 minutes of baking, in order to get brown on the outer skin, you need to remove the foil tent.
Knowing whether or not your turkey is perfectly cooked is done by checking the temperature of the meat.
