AP The Connor cook slide continues.
He wasn't taken before Christian Hackenberg. He wasn't taken before Jacoby Brissett. And he wasn't taken earlier than Cody Kessler.
The Browns took Kessler in round three. Which ability prepare dinner is still on the board, as the compensatory part of round three begins.
The slide by cook is spectacular. He informed PFT live previous this week he'd get frightened if now not taken after circular two. He may well be undrafted after round three.
The decent information (if there is any) is that former Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins turned into a fourth-circular pick. issues worked out relatively neatly for him.
Permalink 19 feedbackWow. The expenses let him slide. TWICE.
Who is aware of? might be they'll take him at 139.
Or perhaps they'll just wait 'til next 12 months and get Chad Kelly.
Tom Brady was a sixth-circular decide on. things labored out enhanced for him than Cousins.
Oh, wait…
Jeez, is this guy that a good deal of a jerk?
First mistake through the Browns. not that they should have taken cook dinner, but I imagine Kessler would were there for the Browns a lot later than right here. Can't think about this guy as an NFL starter, however he is accurate and goes through progressions well.
read draft profile for Connor prepare dinner that he most resembles Brian Hoyer. This on my own is satisfactory to set off a slide in the draft.
Who wants to draft a man once they know they're going to hate going into work each day for four years? now not impressive at all.
extremely good Job Corky Brown you're 0 for four for your Picks. you're taking Coleman who is a 2nd round WR at 15, i love USC however Kessler is a 6th rounder at superior, and 2 scrubs at DE.
And this is why the Browns could have 50 picks and still screw them all up and here's why they win 3- 4 games a 12 months.
i'd rather see the expenses take Hogan than this guy. Let him slide.
fine solid below the radar select through Cleveland.
The guy is accurate and a team chief. Wouldn't be stunned if he seems to be a fine looking good QB.
i wonder why he didn't get greater attention or consideration from the draft authorities as a possible QB to groom main up to the draft.
The love for prepare dinner baffles me. He became a superb participant, and is an ordinary at gold standard prospect who I basically can't see being greater than a great #2 in the NFL.
Kessler is a safe decide on. no longer an awful lot expected. He can take a seat and watch and if he stinks, it's a 3rd rounder, one out of twelve picks and no one flips out over expectations. subsequent years QB and RB type should be more suitable.
thus far the Browns have drafted two first rate avid gamers. each 3rd rounders. Nassib may well be a professional bowler and Shon Coleman is a solid tackle. Kessler is a decent third stringer, but will likely be compelled into action when (now not if) RG3 receives hurt. all the buying and selling round and stockpiling picks is exceptional in case you can make those picks count number. The good information is that the Browns may have the #1 decide on next year.
The Browns drafted an excellent backup QB, that's all they wanted this 12 months. Kessler is stronger than the two backup duds at the moment on the roster from old regimes. I'd say they are making progress.
Didn't the specialists say Joe Montana turned into wise, correct and a susceptible arm? Sounds a lot like Kessler. take a look at his TD/INT ratio.
not a Browns fan, but definitely good pick.
prepare dinner tended to turn the ball over at crucial moments in games. in an effort to stick in a GM's head.
That video game in opposition t Bama uncovered Connor prepare dinner massive time. He's gonna face defenses like that basically every week at the next degree and NFL GMs be aware of this. That he's nonetheless accessible on the 3rd day doesn't surprise me at all.
cook's affinity for turning the ball over at important times has a terrible impact on GMs.
